Two youths robbed Guaranty Bank and Trust Co. of 18842 dollars in Williamston North Carolina. Police cordoned heavily wooded areas aided by bloodhounds and a helicopter as a late model Mercury was found abandoned nearby. Officers questioned a farmer and noted the bandits ages 19 to 21.

Prosecutor Rules Out First Degree Murder Charge in Somerville Case
Middlesex District Attorney George E. Thompson said the case against 25 year old stenographer Mildred McDonald will not pursue a first degree murder indictment.
