Washington Aug 26 AP The Hoover administration plans a nationwide drive for local relief funds from Oct 19 to Nov 25 to assure Congress by December that funds raised locally will cover unemployment needs this winter. Walter Gifford leads the relief effort coordinating city state and county campaigns while not raising a central fund. The drive will use radio and press appeals from national headquarters and has attracted hundreds of volunteers from business circles.
