Market rises as Nixon program boosts stocks
The New York Stock Exchange continued its brisk advance led by metals, with the Dow Jones Industrials up 7.52 to 911.65 at noon. Oil, drugs, aircraft, mail order retail and rubber stocks led gains while other groups were mixed, as optimism from new economic policies and a move above 900 supported markets.
