Two heavyset men robbed the Ansonville branch of Anson Bank & Trust Co. of $5646. One bandit locked three people in the vault and warned of a machinegun outside. Suspects described as 35 to 40, wore gray-green coveralls and Army style gear. No arrests yet.

Blue Ridge Contracts Awarded For Parkway Paving
