Cedron Park Nears Completion High Point Park Work

High Point opens Cedron Park in the Eastwood area after a year and a half of work. The 10.5 acre site features a regulation baseball field, Little League field, two tennis courts, two picnic shelters, playgrounds, restrooms, and parking funded about half by Open Space grants. Construction involved rerouting a creek, installing 700 loads of dirt, 300 feet of drain pipe, and utilities work. Crews from multiple city departments plus Parks and Recreation built facilities and landscaping while preserving trees and a rustic park edge. Completion proceeds through September with shelter installations and gate additions planned for the near term.
