Two year old Opal Arlene Tyree was killed last night when struck by an auto near her home in Whiteville North Carolina. The driver Jimmy Kent Canady 17 of Clarendon was charged with involuntary manslaughter and freed on $3000 bond. Canady told officers he did not see the child until the impact.
