Early reports indicate General Foch directing Allied forces in a major push along a 25 mile front on the Marne. Good progress alleged while counter blows by German forces attempt to blunt the advance.
Paris says French troops struck along the Aisne river line up to Bel lau fronting 25 miles and gained ground of one to two miles in places. Prisoners were taken as the advance continued, with American troops holding positions near Bellau wood and Torey in the sector.
London dispatch reports Italian forces recaptured the village of Claizét two miles northeast of Bligny in renewed fighting north of the Marne with advices confirming the gain.
London reports southeast of the Somme the British line has been advanced on a front of over a mile. South of Buirnoy near Arras a German raiding party was driven off in the night. German artillery remained active on the Flanders front. Reports up to noon say the French led the biggest offensive movement this year by the Allies.
