Bid Received By County For Pulverizer Improvements
The Guilford County Board of Commissioners accepted a low bid of 19430 from Hodgin Construction Co. for improvements at the solid waste pulverizer site near High Point. The project includes new steps fencing a concrete pad working platform and an enlarged maintenance building to be completed in 80 days. The pulverizer now grinds about 42 tons per hour and the county plans to charge 3.25 per ton starting Sept. 16, yielding about 350 daily in revenue under a 30 percent county share with Greensboro.
