Bill Hester, 48, won the first annual Tournament of Champions at Arnold Palmer Putting Course in High Point, finishing 10 under par 134. Everett McMahon took second with 139, Iry Hill was third at 141, and Gary Hester plus Ron Parris tied for fourth at 142. Hester will represent the city in the Championship in Elam Pennsylvania, as Arnold Palmer will host the national event and present awards.
