Johnson targets Goldwater over nuclear warheads

Board declares Norton winner in 34th District Senate race

The North Carolina State Board of Elections ruled that Clyde Norton should be the winner of the Democratic nomination for the State Senate in the 34th District, citing irregularities in Madison County that offset the 400 vote margin for incumbent challenger Pender.
