21 Year Old Woman May Help In White House If Adlai Wins
Chicago reports that a 21 year old woman may assist with White House entertaining if Adlai Stevenson secures the Democratic nomination and the election. Adlai Jr. could move in with his wife Nancy who is expecting a baby in November. Mrs. Ernest Ives said Adlai would like to live with his father if he gets a four year White House lease, with Mrs. Ives as official hostess. The Stevenson family planned to be in Chicago for the convention as Adlai attends Harvard Law. Nancy Stevenson attended a reception for Mrs. Franklin D Roosevelt and took a rest with her mother. Women at the convention prepared for a large program including a fashion show and a Cinerama Holiday screening.
