Extradition Delay Halts Florida Man to North Carolina
RALEIGH AP The extradition of Florida businessman Harry Julian Eng charged with conspiring to defraud North Carolina has been delayed until October. Wake County District Attorney Burley B. Mitchell Jr said Florida authorities notified him of the postponement as Eng and Jerome Louchheim II face overbilling allegations tied to a state advertising contract secured after Gov. Holfhouser took office in 1973. Mitchell has not decided if Louchheim’s case will proceed before Eng returns.
