Mrs. T. C. Walls and children Jean and David visited Mrs. Logan Lovelace in Wilson since Wednesday and plan to return home for the weekend. McDowell and family return to Manchester, N. H., after visiting Maude McDowell. Tommie Caskey returns from Atlanta after a month with relatives. Mrs. H. S. Price and son Jerry leave for a month in Los Angeles. Harriet Rutherford and infant Stevie visit parents Carl and Mrs. Shelton. Mrs. T. A. Shelton also visiting in Jacksonville. Prof. Wyatt Pickens stays with sister Mrs. Robert Garland on Ferndale Drive while Dr. Pickens, LSU associate, spends a month here. Following the rehearsal on Friday evening for the Nancy Whitley Luther Brown wedding, Mr and Mrs Dock Sherman Whitley hosted an informal cake cutting at the High Point Woman's Club. The bride elects table featured pink and white flowers, pink tapers, and a tiered cake. Vickie Essa cut the cake with assistance from Mrs Toby Cox as attendants received gifts of pearl necklaces and engraved cuff links. About 50 relatives and friends attended.
