Vera Williams Weds Don Hulin In Candlelight Emerywood Ceremony
Vera Mae Williams and Don Winfred Hulin united in a seventh oclock candlelight ceremony at Emerywood Baptist Church. The bride, daughter of Ollie Leaton Williams of Eagle Springs, wore Italian silk and Chantilly lace with a court train and carried an orchid bouquet. The groom is son of Mrs. William Harriss Hulin of High Point and the late Mr. Hulin, a High Point High School graduate who served in the U S Navy and works at Alderman Studios. Officiant Rev. Thomas S. Haggai led the service with music by Fielding Kearns and Mrs. Harold Johnson. The couple will reside at 509 Woodrow Ave after a trip to New York and Bermuda. Out-of-town guests hailed from Eagle Springs Robbins Greensboro Graham and Mount Airy.

Byrd, a Textile Insurance Company employee, is a High Point High School graduate who attended Jones Business College. Hunsucker, a son of Mrs. George C. Hunsucker, is a graduate of Allen Jay High School and a rising senior at Appalachian State Teachers College in Boone.

Two Negroes On Jury List For Local Rape Trial
In LaGrange Georgia a 110 member jury panel includes at least two Black jurors for the trial of George Alford Jr. Clifford Johnson and Brannon Epps all Black men charged with raping two white women. The judge has not set a trial date. Police report cross burnings at the homes of Johnson and Epps attributed to teenage pranksters.
