Redman Names Giles Assistant Attorney General
RALEIGH – Gov. W B Rodman announced the appointment of Robert Giles a 31 year old lawyer with the Institute of Government at Chapel Hill as assistant attorney general. Giles will report Monday and fills the vacancy created by Ralph Moody moving to the State Utilities Commission. Giles a Spartanburg County S C native graduated from UNC in 1949 earned his law degree in 1952 and practiced in Charlotte before joining the Institute of Government staff. Rodman said the salary will be about 7200 dollars a year.
