High Pointers Win In Special Session Master Point Play
Central Carolina Bridge Assn held a special sanctioned session at the YMCA on Friday night. In North-South, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Lanier of Burlington won first place with Mrs. Morris Stadium and Mrs. Johnny Jones of Greensboro second. East-West leaders were Mr. and Mrs. Phil Warner of High Point first, with Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Holderness of Greensboro runner up. Third went to Mrs. Farrell Gray and Robert Viall of High Point. Newcomers to High Point are Jack Rankin and family who moved from Reidsville for Rankin to work as pharmacist at Ring Harris Drug Co. They live at 1508 Carolina Ave. and attend St. Marys Church. Rankin is a former Annalore Oliver kin. Pamela and Evin Palmer are 13 and 15, with Johnny 6 starting first grade.
