Bright picture of arming painted at farm loan meeting
Decatur Georgia August 8. R J Taylor secretary of the third Federal Land Bank district reports a bright picture of farming in Georgia Florida and the Carolinas at the National Farm Loan Association gathering. He says crops are cheaper than since 1914 with diversification and more cash crops signaling a better farming business. Labor is cheaper and plentiful and unemployment in the four states is not alarming. Road building provides part time work and boosts farm values. Prices in parts of the country are rising while some farms still sell below long term income value.
