Escapee Streeton Recaptured Near Suffolk Virginia
Charles G. Streeton serving a life term in Raleigh prison was captured near Suffolk Virginia after escaping from the state hospital last Sunday morning. He confessed to the life sentence and escape and was taken to Suffolk jail before noon. Streeton was convicted of first degree murder of his brother in law Carl Davis and placed in the insane ward after doctors deemed him mentally ill.
