Davie farmer fights Schlitz over Yadkin pollution
David Springer and his wife sue Schlitz Brewing Co and Winston Salem arguing overloading of the city sewer plant and pollution of the Yadkin River near Point Farm in Davie County. The suits seek 500000 dollars in actual damages and 1.5 million dollars in punitive damages against Schlitz plus corrective action against the city. A federal hearing before Judge Eugene A Gordon is scheduled in Winston-Salem.
