Louis Budenz former Communist editor told Senators Hollywood supplied a large financial take to the Communist party with aims of Soviet dominance. He identified Miss Elizabeth Bentley as a Soviet spy and said she named many wartime government officials. Budenz called the party a fifth column and said Bentley was a courier for espionage. He backed her story and said he helped place Soviet agents in contact with Moscow linked circles.
