The Piedmont University Center in Winston-Salem aims to create a centralized admissions office for 17 member colleges. Executed by Dr. Alvin Keppel, the plan would route all applications through the center with one fee and one paper trail, sending files to each college as chosen. The center includes A&T College, Davidson, Wake Forest, Belmont Abbey and 13 others, plus programs in study abroad, faculty sabbaticals, and a joint calendar. It also supports library cooperation, shared binding savings, and faculty exchange with visiting scholars from notable institutions.
