Shipping An Entire Town By Air In Canadian Wilds
An entire mining town including machinery, fuel, and people was airlifted to Favorable Lake Ontario 150 miles from Berens River Manitoba. Pilots loaded heavy equipment by plane and reassembled it on site creating a fully functional mining camp despite remote rivers and forests. Freight planes evolved into flying box cars expanding Canada’s remote-industry freight and boosting development with no lives lost in the process.
