Hoey purge may reshuffle highway agency leaders
Gov Clyde R. Hoey has swept clean the State Highway and Public Works Commission and threatens more changes. Questions linger whether Engineer W Vance Baise, Chief Counsel Charles Ross, and Acting Prison Director Oscar Pitts will be ousted as the governor reshapes the agency. The new commission, though, is expected to follow the governor’s directives.
