Four Miners Die In Gas Explosion At Glen Alden Mine

Four miners were killed today in a gas explosion at the Glen Alden Coal company mine in Hanover township near Nanticoke Pennsylvania. Cause of the blast was not announced by the company.

Wilmington Boys Hurt in Accident Heading to Music Contest

Four Wilmington high school students were seriously injured when their car overturned 12 miles from Smithfield while en route to a state music contest in Greensboro. Driver Chester James, 17, suffered a molten jawbone, collarbone, nose injuries and facial cuts. Dexter James had minor injuries and others sustained various hurts.
