Johnson Plans to Join Politicking Without Running Again
President Johnson says he will engage in political activity this year even though he will not seek re election. The remarks imply a continued involvement while Humphrey, Kennedy aides and rivals pursue the nomination in a year of pivotal debates on Vietnam and domestic policy.
