British Urge Easy Peace Proposal to Germans
London observers report a National Peace Council drive for a million signatures backing a soft peace. Designer Lists Beauty Assets Of Allied Women
London fashion figure Norman Hartnell compares English French and American women as assets in a three way balance sheet. He cites English poise and skin but notes narrow views and poor nail care. French wear the little black dress and subtle jewelry. Americans lead in color and fashion freshness. He prescribes a must wardrobe: one suit one woolen dress one overcoat one crepe dress. Chile leads Latin America in iron ore output.
