The Other Woman and a Husband’s Dilemma

A letter counsels a wife facing a husband's infidelity. It condemns the mistress and urges careful, future‑facing consideration, noting many “devoted” men stray and emphasizing clear judgment over rash action.

Husband's infidelity tested by a promise to stay

A reader notes that a husband may love his wife and family yet cannot resist a playboy lifestyle. It urges recognizing sincerity, warning that a friend’s conduct should teach him a lesson to keep his home intact.

If you were a man would you want a light drained ex lady friend

A narrator challenges the idea of a man being driven from town by a former lover in a diary like aside. The speaker argues the husband is correct in wanting to stay home rather than be forced to move by scandal.

Women vie for love in quiet domestic dispute

The speaker urges a wife to unite with her husband and make him happy at home. She notes another woman’s foolish display of bad taste and predicts the rival will tire of her entanglement if no results follow. The core message: protect the marriage and outlast the other claimant.
