Greek Turkish Policy Opposed By Scientists
CHICAGO April 25 The Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists warned that American policy in Greece and Turkey will not solve the central security problem of atomic weapons. It said the Soviet Union could be prevented only by effective agreement or by force aimed at its center. The bulletin urged coercive economic pressure and propaganda to shift Russian opinion, warning such measures could trigger armed action, and stressed the need to continue seeking an agreement on the atomic issue.
