Miss Setzer Weds Myrle McFarland in Grace Lutheran Church
Miss Brenda Louise Setzer married Myrle Gene McFarland in a Sunday afternoon ceremony at Grace Lutheran Church. Rev. Edward J. Devan officiated with Easter lilies and ferns decorations and nuptial music by Miss Franki Roberts and Jimmie Hedgecock. The bride wore a white silk organza gown with a chapel train and a pearl tiara, carrying a white orchid. Attendants included matron of honor Mrs. Terry Hart and bridesmaids Miss Elsie McFarland, Miss Billie Jean Setzer, Miss Bettie Dean Setzer, and Miss Ann Marie Rich. Best man was Douglas C. Tilley. ushers were Jerry Zimmerman, Bernie Pope, James McFarland and Joe Coggins. The bride’s mother wore silk organza. the groom’s mother wore dark green lace over beige taffeta. The couple, children of local families, planned to reside in Los Angeles after the wedding following Army training completion at Fort Gordon.
