Washington April 24 The house appropriations committee trimmed interior department funding by 25 percent and sent a 102,602,628 measure to the floor for the new fiscal year starting July 1. The panel cut 38,743,419 from agency estimates while noting the increase over current-year funds to support reclamation projects and boost food production. The report, led by Rep Johnson, seeks to balance revenues with operating expenses within a few years. next year estimated income is 74,500,000.
