Death in Bathtub and Police Investigate Local Thefts
Horace Turance Teague of Spencer Street was found dead in his bathroom by his wife around 1 45 a m. Medical examiner Eugene Terrell estimated death around 10 p m Friday and planned an autopsy. Police also investigated numerous thefts and damages including amps radios flags clothing a couch and car damages with several arrests listed for burglary drunken driving and related offenses.

Two Women Injured in English Road Crash at Allison Erwin Co
Two women were injured when their car left English Road and struck a utility pole before crashing into a loading dock at Allison Erwin Co. Phyllis Anne Linthicum King and Phyllis Gay Mathis Lee were treated and released from High Point Memorial Hospital. King said she fell asleep at the wheel. The crash occurred near Whitier Place around 2 02 a.m. on a Friday with four others slightly injured in a separate three car collision at Gordon and Hoskins streets.
