Sidney Tomlinson Business Leader Memorial in High Point Museum
A High Point memorial honors Sidney Halstead Tomlinson a leading business and industrial figure. Born May 4 1876 he helped found Tomlinson Chair Manufacturing Co and established the High Point Showrooms later leading firms in furniture and community service including the YMCA and the High Point Public Library. He died March 15 1949 and is buried at Springfield with a memorial funded by Tomlinson Furniture.
