Child Is Shaken Up When Auto Slams Into A House
A three year old was shaken up after brakes failed in a car carrying Shirelle Boyce. The car driven by Barbara McClain Boyce ran 148 feet, struck a house, with damages of $75 to the Boyce car and $50 to a TV aerial. Police charged Baskins with licenseless driving and improper safety check, and Smith with allowing an unauthorized driver. Additional incidents include Spoon hit-and-run damages, Pegram improper backing, Frazier improper backing, and Batten improper turn with vehicle damage varying.

Earl Chalmas Clark, 23, of 716 Florham Drive, High Point, died at 2:20 p.m. Sunday in Germany from injuries in an automobile accident. He was born December 27, 1944, in High Point, son of Earl W. and Vera Mitchell Clark. A High Point native, he graduated from High Point High School and attended High Point College. He served in the U S Army Engineers Division nearly two years and planned to return to the states in June. He was a member of Piedmont Camp No. 62 Woodmen of the World and Brentwood Presbyterian Church. Surviving: his parents and two brothers Keith D. Clark of 220 Pine Ridge Drive and Willis D. Clark of 1511 Pinehurst Drive. The body is being returned to High Point and will be taken to Sechrest Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements are incomplete.
