Local girl earns 1967 William Jackson Scott Scholarship
Miss Eloise Yarborough, a High Point Central High School senior and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Yarborough, received the 500 William Jackson Scott Scholarship to pursue a teaching career. The fund, started in 1965 in memory of Dr. W. J. Scott, is run by a Parent-Teacher-Student committee and honors the former principal. Yarborough plans to major in mathematics and has active involvement in debate, journalism, and civic groups.
