Desperate convicts escape from Michigan prison

Four dangerous convicts escaped by sawing bars in the maximum security section of Southern Michigan Prison in Jackson. Authorities launched a large manhunt for the murder and kidnapping suspects who may be armed. Warden George Kropp called them desperate men as an emergency count found dummies in cell spots for the other three.

Two Escapees Captured as Manhunt Continues in North Carolina
