Cottonseed meal feed studied by North Carolina station
Raleigh April 28 Work by the animal industry division of the North Carolina experiment station to determine the value of cottonseed meal as livestock feed was judged the best scientific investigation on this problem by a committee from the Interstate Cottonseed Crushers association. The panel met at Prof. Curtis’s office and discussed expanding funding to continue the work. The committee noted prior antagonism toward the feed among southern colleges and promised support to extend research, highlighting silage’s role in extending feeding periods.
