RALEIGH AP The Mecklenburg County delegation introduced its long awaited liquor by the drink bill on the eve of a statewide test. The Mecklenburg bill sets a county referendum on mixed drinks, mirroring a prior North Carolina proposal and calls for a public hearing on the statewide bill Wednesday. If approved, the county plan would go to voters in November 1970 with full implementation planned for January 1, 1971.
