What Young People Think on School Buses

Eugene Gilbert reports teen views on school bus funding. A survey of 727 youths shows 57 percent want buses, 80 percent cite health and safety benefits, and 30 percent worry funds could be better spent on teachers or buildings. Teens favor one mile walks for younger students, and many prefer parents or private cars for travel.
