A jet plane and a four engine airliner collided about 15 miles southwest of Las Vegas. The large plane burned after the crash near Blue Diamond. rescue crews rushed to the scene. No home base or origin was disclosed and one parachute was seen in the air.

Twenty three adults were evacuated as nurses aided patients awaiting transfer to Bryson City and Waynesville. Fire officials say the loss is about $400000 with insurance.
