Negro Shot While Entering Store On Taylor Street
Charlie Johnson of Greensboro was wounded twice while attempting to break into M. L. Poteat’s Taylor street store. Poteat, arrested for assault with intent to kill, says he shot in self defense as Johnson tried to enter. Johnson was hospitalized, condition not serious. Three .38 caliber rounds were fired, bystanders and police confirm.
