One Death Reported In Atoka Wind Storm
Heavy wind storm at Atoka Tennessee caused one death and three injuries. C. B. Forbes aged 56 and two of his sons were taken to a Memphis hospital with fractures and internal injuries. A third son was killed when the Forbes home collapsed.

Governor Frees Man At Raleigh
By order of Governor McLean O M Sehlichter was freed from state prison today in Raleigh April 21. The younger Schlichter O M Sehlichter formerly Halifax county banker and his father A B Schlichter were convicted in August 1925 for defrauding Bank of Hollister and were to serve three to four years and two to three years respectively. They delayed serving sentences until November 1927 when deposits could not be paid. Parole for the younger Schlichter was recommended after attorneys and the solicitor agreed to a $20 000 fund to be paid to the bank. Dr J W McGhee gave $12 000 but the balance could not be raised and both men were returned to prison.

Copenhagen reports Politiken received word from Svalbard that Captain George H. Wilkins, an arctic flier, landed near a Svalbard radio station at 11 a m.
