Sacred Head, Now Wounded and the Parker Anderson Wedding
The text blends a religious poem fragment with a Charlotte Observer society item about Eunice Anderson and David Ralph Parker’s wedding at the bride’s parents home on West Fourth Street. The ceremony featured Rev. Dr. A. A. McGeachy, with music by Adelaide Voseley and Miss Elsie Stokes, followed by a reception and plans to live in High Point. The report details family backgrounds, attendees, and future moves to Atlanta for grand opera, then possibly north.
