Rain and disinterest slow High Point primaries
Rain and voter apathy kept High Point primaries light after 6:30 a.m. polls. Precinct No. 4 reported nearly 100 votes by 10:30 a.m., while No. 5 had under 50 four hours after opening. Officials expect a late surge but doubt the 1963 total of 7 100 will be reached.
