Do Smaller Spaces Mean Smaller Sales at NHFL Luncheon
Mrs Ellen Liman, author of The Spacemaker Book, urged the Carolinas chapter NHFL to push space saving in design and merchandising. She noted that smaller spaces can still yield strong sales and called for government support and retailer education. Scholarships of 500 dollars each were awarded to Pattie Wilkinson Gravely, Swanda McCormick, and Susan A. Smith, named in honor of Kitty Pennington.
