Festival Saved by Appeal at Guilford College
A Guilford College fund drive raised about 24000 to save the Eastern Music Festival held at Guilford. The festival board approved a fulltime executive director, a three year fund raising plan and six new directors including students staff and faculty from Guilford and Greensboro colleges. Thomas Wagg III was named chairman and Benjamin Cone Jr. treasurer as deficits nearly 20000 threatened elimination.

Trindale School Nears Accreditation in Archdale
Archdale’s Trindale Elementary School may become one of the first Randolph County elementary schools to gain accreditation from the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. A recommendation was made after a visit April 7 8 by an eight member accreditation committee headed by Mrs Pauline Myrick.
