Arts Caravan Planned for Girl Scouts in Keyaunee

Leaders invite adults to register by April 22 for an Arts Caravan on April 27 at Oak Hill. Sessions will cover drama, songs, dances, and games, led by Mrs. J W Chalfant and Mrs. William Morris with cadette leader Mrs. Woodrow Price from Raleigh. Camp Keyauwee sessions fill quickly. vacancies remain for the second session July 4-17 and for Negroes camp June 19-18 and established camp July 25-August 6. Public house at Camp Keyaunee May 2 will unveil a new swimming pool funded by cookie money and private donations.

Bridal Shower Honors Miss Kathryn Sawyer in Brentwood

The Brentwood Presbyterian Church fellowship hall hosted a bridal shower for Miss Kathryn Sue Sawyer on Friday evening. Hostesses Mrs. Fred J. Wiley Mrs. Walter Keller Miss Peggy A. Wiley and Mrs. Henry E. Lee Jr decorated the room with white cloths flowers and white tapers. The honoree wore a white carnation corsage and received an electric appliance as a gift from the hostesses. Special guests included the bride elect’s mother Mrs. Orville H. Frazier and her grandmother Mrs. W. V. Evans.
