God's Way is Always Right in Faith and Death Ode

A devotional piece by Grace Imogen Gish appears in Presbyterian poetry about faith through sorrow and joy, ending with a reaffirmation that God's way is right despite loneliness and doubt. The column lists a string of ladies from the Tate and Moffitt families and others, followed by a social scene at Ottis Mendenhall’s Gatewood Avenue home with a Night Bridge club gathering. The evening featured violets decor, prizes to Mrs Albert Hart and Mr Robert Walker, and a dessert course, then a High Point conservatory music recital with Miss Currier and Miss Kearns, concluding with a violin solo by Currier and piano by Kearns.
