SPECIAL TO THE ENTERPRISE THOMASVILLE April 14 Mrs. Charles R. Thomas is critically ill at her Main street home. Her father J. T. Perkins a brother Perkins and her sister Miss Cora Perkins of Lenoir are with her. The school bond election for 135000 carried as expected with little opposition. This insures continuation of work on the handsome school building now being erected here.

City council adopts a 1923 schedule for primary and municipal elections in four wards. New registration books issued and registrars named for each precinct. Election judges designated for each ward precinct to oversee the primary and general vote.

Ordinance Requires Full Stop At Main Street Crossing

City ordinance 1923 enacts a full stop for all motor vehicles at the Southern Railway Main Street crossing in High Point. Any vehicle failing to stop or attempting to pass during downed gates faces a first offense fine of 5 dollars and 10 dollars for subsequent offenses. Effective immediately April 14, 1923, per the City Manager.
