Capitol Square By Lynn Nisbet
A column recounts Capitol hearings with jibes at private versus public schools and remarks about licenses for trades. It notes Rep Huskins nicknamed dynamite Huskins for proposing safer explosive storage and pyrotechnic shipment rules. It mentions Gov Kerr Scott's frugal spending stance, a story of walking 21 miles to save taxi fare, and North Carolina lawyers joining a Washington firm. Ramp shipments to the legislature provoke little interest as the ramps arrive late.
