Cotton futures face early pressure on weak overseas cables

In New York on April 10 the cotton market opened under heavy selling pressure with first prices 37 to 25 points lower due to weak cables and liquidation. By the first hour July and October futures rose to 38 to 42 points above the opening lows as sentiment remained unsettled. May, July, October, December and January contracts traded steady around 33.35, 32.60, 31.00, 30.68, and 30.58 respectively.

He received seven years hard labor at Fort Jay, NY, forfeiture of pay, dishonorable discharge on release, and aggravating conduct cited by the commanding general as showing he is unworthy of the soldier’s honor.
